Microsoft-HP together deliver business intelligence solutions

Microsoft and HP have collaborated on providing new solutions for business intelligence, data warehouse, messaging and data consolidation to escalate employee productivity and bring down IT complexity, sources reported.

Both the firms reportedly have introduced 4 new converged application appliances that combines applications, infrastructure and productivity tools into a single system. The solution will simplify the delivery of applications for IT by optimizing employee productivity and decision making.

The HP E5000 messaging system reportedly is expected to hit the market in a short span of 45 days to run messaging services while the HP Business Decision Appliance is already available to run business intelligence services. The other 2 appliances are supposed to be unveiled at a latter part of this year.

According to sources, currently highly customized business applications are deployed which take too long or proprietary stacks of applications and infrastructure are used which are slow and stubborn. Therefore these products will probably bring about higher sophistication in the critical business applications.

The firms had collaborated last year to build new converged application appliances; they are the industry’s first systems designed for IT as well as end users.
