INDIA: Networking vendor ZTE Corporation showcased its LTE-A prototype at the “Mobile World Congress 2011” in Barcelona, Spain.
ZTE, which plans to introduce commercial LTE-A products in 2012, achieved downstream peak speed of over 1Gbps during the demonstration.
ZTE’s LTE-A prototypes incorporate technologies such as carrier aggregation, multi-antenna enhancement, relay technology, multi-point joint transmission and CoMP (Co-ordinated Multi-point Transmission) technology.
