Ready to eat the big "Apple" India? The iPad is here finally


The Apple iPad has finally arrived in India officially, starting at the price of Rs.27, 990, sources reported. Gadget geeks are delighted at this development. The 16 GB iPad will now be available at Apple retailer or the iStore, although it has already being sold in the grey market and online stores at a price of Rs.33, 000, sources added.

According to sources the iPad has met with tremendous success worldwide after its launch last year. The iPad has revolutionized the entire PC and tablets market. Huge computer vendor like Microsoft companies have seen their shares tumbling, following the launch of the iPad, so popular is the device. The iPad has already garnered revenues near $10 billion as 15 million units have been sold already.
India already has 40,000 units of iPad through online, abroad purchase and grey market sells, analysts believe. 

There are six versions of the iPad available. The price ranges from Rs 27,990 for the 16 GB only WI-Fi version, to Rs 44,990 for the grand 64GB WI-Fi+3G enabled version.

The iPad has triggered an industry around it to accessorize the tablet and an upgraded version of iPad 2 is expected in India very soon.
