Google on an acquiring and hiring spree

Google is making all the expansionist moves where it is both acquiring and hiring, sources informed. Google has plans to employee more than 6000 employees this year and is also buying small firms to expand its user base beyond search engine services, sources added.

Google has bought California based firm Saynow, which connects celebrities with their fans with voice products, in addition it has also acquired fflick, which mines Twitter for movie recommendations and reactions on the website; it was founded by four former Digg employees.

According to sources, the internet giant has purchased fflick at around $10 billion whereas the price for SayNow’s acquisition is not known. Saynow confirmed the news of its buy-out but fflick still hasn’t confirmed the news.

Sources reported that SayNow through the power of voice brought together communities; therefore collaborating with Google will help them expand their horizons in the field by using Google’s voice products.

Google’s move to expand is a big reason for its hiring spree and this hiring is touted to be one of the biggest workforce expansion in the company’s history.
